Antler Creek

This Rick Phelps designed course that opened in 2004, has wide fairways that artistically wind through Woodmen Hills and Meridian Ranch communities. This course challenges the player and is a pleasant mix of Colorado terrain and native grasses that blend nicely to create a “prairie dunes style” course, which is unique to the Pikes Peak region. The course measures over 8,000 yards from the tips.  It features three lakes and 73 bunkers contributing to its selection by Colorado Avid Golfer as the best new course in 2004.

About this Project

This “new-build” project, located approximately 20 miles northeast of Colorado Springs in Falcon, Colorado, offers a high-altitude example of prairie-style design. When it opened in 2004, Antler Creek offered a play option as the longest golf course in the US, at over 8,100 yards.  At the same time, it was recognized as being “women-friendly” by multiple media publications with a front tee length of less than 5000 yards.  Either way, the rolling prairie site with tremendous views of Pikes Peak will be sure to provide an enjoyable test of your game. The project was integrated into the award-winning golf course communities of Antler Creek and Meridian Ranch.  It was built using a hybrid design/build methodology with golf course builder Niebur Golf.
